In North America, Oireachtas are qualifying events for the World Irish Dance Championship competition (Oireachtas Rince na Cruinne). Each dancer must compete in the Oireachtas of his or her geographical region.
The Ardán Academy and the Mulhern School are very proud to be hosting the 2013 Mid-American Oireachtas in Grand Rapids, Michigan on November 21, 22 and 23. This year's event will be held at the beautiful DeVos Place in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The event will bring together amazing dancers from all around the region. As a guest with the Mid-American US Oireachtas room block you will receive complimentary self parking in the parking ramps at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel and the JW Marriott. A 2 night minimum stay is required for Friday and Saturday evenings. Any cancellations will result in a fee of one nights room and tax being charged to your credit card on file.

The Irish Dance Teachers' Association of Mid-America, an organization dedicated to promoting Irish dance and culture in the United States, is in the planning stages of its annual Oireachtas (championship competition) for 2013.
